What are they made of?
Sheet masks are typically made of nonwoven fibers, cotton, hydrogel, and bio-cellulose. These materials are lightweight and easy to apply. Hydrogel and bio-cellulose are more weighty than cotton and fiber, but the feeling is comforting and cooling on the skin. Companies are actively creating new and innovative sheet mask materials to improve application and penetration of active ingredients. These masks are face-shaped sheets soaked in skin loving nutrients and serums. They come individually wrapped and packaged, and are used once and thrown away. They are one size fits all, easy to use, reasonably priced and so convenient. Most sheet masks come in one single sheet, however many masks have a top and bottom portion. These are great for creating a more customized fit. However, they are more prone to slippage, so make sure the client remains laying on the treatment bed for the duration of the mask.
